Evidence-Based Therapy. Life Changing Progress.

Every program is designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and delivered one-on-one, with parents involved at every step.

Clinic-Based ABA

Our clinic-based ABA program gives children a structured, joyful place to learn and grow. Through one-on-one, play-based sessions, children build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills while working toward the goals in their individualized treatment plan. The clinic setting adds what’s hard to create anywhere else: guided peer interaction, group-readiness routines that mirror preschool and school expectations, and BCBAs on-site for tighter supervision and faster program adjustments. It’s focused learning in a space designed for young learners — with family updates every step of the way.

Home-Based ABA Therapy

Home-based ABA therapy lets children learn and practice skills where they feel most comfortable — and where those skills matter most. A consistent behavior technician works one-on-one with your child in your own home, guided by a BCBA-designed plan built around your family’s real routines: mornings, mealtimes, play with siblings, bedtime. Because parents see strategies in action, progress carries through the whole week — not just the session. We serve families in their homes across Northern Virginia, with evening and Saturday availability and no waitlist.

Speech Therapy

Our speech therapy services help children build the communication skills that connect them to the world. Licensed speech-language pathologists work one-on-one with your child on expressive and receptive language, articulation, social communication, and alternative communication methods such as AAC devices when needed. Because we also provide ABA therapy, our speech and behavior teams coordinate closely — reinforcing the same communication goals in every session. Whether your child is working on first words, clearer speech, or conversation skills, sessions are engaging, play-based, and paced to your child.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps children build the physical, sensory, and developmental skills everyday life requires. Our occupational therapists create engaging, individualized sessions that strengthen fine motor skills, sensory regulation, coordination, and independence — always matched to your child’s unique goals and abilities. We focus on the skills behind daily tasks: dressing, feeding, handwriting, play, and participating comfortably at school. For children also receiving ABA or speech therapy, our teams coordinate goals so every provider reinforces the same skills. The result is greater confidence and independence, at home and beyond.
Real Stories. Real Progress.

My daughter used to struggle with transitions, tantrums, and finishing tasks at home. United Autism Therapy helped us understand her behaviors and taught us better ways to support her. We’ve seen positive changes in her behavior, independence, and confidence.
Amina R.
We are very happy with the services from United Autism Therapy. The team listens to our concerns, explains everything clearly, and treats our child with kindness and respect. Their guidance has helped us better understand our child’s needs.

Our five-year-old had very limited communication and would become frustrated when he couldn’t express himself. Since starting ABA therapy, he has learned to ask for help, follow routines, and take part in learning activities. Watching him progress step by step has been emotional for our family.
Nadia H.
United Autism Therapy didn’t just help my child — they helped me as a parent. Through parent training, I learned how to respond to challenging behaviors and support my child in a calm, consistent way. Our home routine has improved.
James L.
The team took time to understand my nine-year-old’s needs and worked on meaningful goals. Over time, he follows directions more easily, asks for breaks, and completes tasks with far less frustration. The therapists are compassionate and professional.
Farah A.
Going into the community used to be stressful for our family. United Autism Therapy worked on safety skills, communication, and behavior support — and we’re seeing real progress when we go outside, visit stores, or attend appointments.

What’s the difference between clinic-based and home-based ABA?

Clinic-based ABA adds structure, peer interaction, and school-readiness routines in a purpose-built space; home-based ABA teaches skills inside your family’s real routines. Many children benefit from a combination — your BCBA will recommend the right fit.

Can my child receive ABA and speech or occupational therapy together?

Yes — many of our families combine services. Because all three are under one roof, our ABA, speech, and OT teams coordinate goals so every session reinforces the same skills.

How many hours per week will my child need?

It’s a clinical decision, not one-size-fits-all. After the assessment, your BCBA recommends a focused or comprehensive program and walks you through the reasoning.

Do you help with insurance authorizations?

Yes — we verify your benefits for free, then prepare and submit authorizations for assessment and treatment with your commercial plan, Virginia Medicaid (Cardinal Care), or TRICARE.

What ages do you serve?

Children and young adults from 18 months through 21 years, across all of our services.
