Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: August 3, 2026
Welcome to United Autism Therapy. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.unitedautismtherapy.com (the “Site”), including its pages, content, forms, and features. The Site is owned and operated by United Autism Therapy (“United Autism Therapy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a provider of ABA, speech, and occupational therapy services for children and young adults across Northern Virginia. By visiting the Site, submitting a form, or using any Site feature, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who May Use the Site
The Site is intended for adults age 18 and older — typically parents, legal guardians, and caregivers, as well as referring providers and prospective employees. The Site is not directed to children. If you are under 18, please use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, and do not submit any form on the Site.
2. The Site Does Not Provide Medical Advice
The content on this Site — including descriptions of ABA, speech, and occupational therapy, developmental information, insurance explanations, and answers to frequently asked questions — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, clinical, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified professional. Always seek the advice of your child’s physician or another qualified provider with any questions about a medical or developmental concern, and never delay seeking professional care because of something you read on this Site.
If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, call 911 — or call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) — immediately. Do not use this Site or its forms to request emergency help.

3. Using the Site Does Not Make You a Client
Browsing the Site, calling us, or submitting a contact, consultation, or insurance-verification request does not create a provider–patient relationship and does not guarantee scheduling, services, or acceptance into care. A care relationship begins only after we complete intake, obtain the required consents and authorizations, and mutually agree to begin services. All services are subject to clinical assessment, provider availability, and, where applicable, insurance authorization.
4. Appointment Requests, Insurance Verification & Communications
Forms submitted through the Site are requests, not confirmed appointments. Our team aims to respond within one business day. Free insurance verification is offered as a courtesy: we confirm your benefits as reported by your health plan, but a benefits quote is not a guarantee of coverage or payment — final determinations are always made by your insurer.
By submitting a form or providing your phone number or email address, you agree that United Autism Therapy may contact you by phone, email, or text message about your inquiry and our services. Message and data rates may apply to texts. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any message. Opting out of marketing does not affect communications needed to respond to a request you have made or to deliver care you have agreed to.

5. Please Keep Health Details Out of Website Forms
Website forms and standard email are convenient, but they are not a secure channel for detailed health information. Please do not include diagnoses, evaluation reports, medical records, or other detailed health information in any form on this Site — share only your contact details and a brief note, and we will discuss your child’s needs securely by phone. Information you submit through the Site before becoming a client is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Once your family begins care with us, health information we create or receive is protected health information (“PHI”) under HIPAA and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices.
6. Parent Portal & Account Security
If we make a parent portal or another password-protected area available to you, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Use the portal only to access information about your own child, and notify us immediately at (703) 261-4446 if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. The portal may be operated by a third-party vendor under a HIPAA business associate agreement, and additional terms presented within the portal may apply.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. When using the Site, you will not:
- submit false or misleading information, or submit information about another person without the legal authority to do so;
- interfere with the security or operation of the Site, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or account, or introduce viruses or other malicious code;
- scrape, harvest, or copy Site content or data by automated means, or use the Site to send unsolicited advertising;
- impersonate United Autism Therapy or any of its staff, or misuse our name or logo or use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — text, graphics, logos, photographs, page designs, and their arrangement — is owned by or licensed to United Autism Therapy and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. You may view, download, and print Site content for your personal, non-commercial use. Any other use, including reproduction, modification, distribution, or republication without our prior written permission, is prohibited. “United Autism Therapy” and our logo may not be used without our written consent.
9. Testimonials & Results
The testimonials on this Site come from real families and are published with their written permission. They reflect each family’s individual experience. Every child is different, and therapy outcomes vary — testimonials are not a promise or guarantee of the results your child will achieve.
10. Careers & Job Applications
Information you submit through our careers page — such as your name, contact details, and resume — is used to evaluate your application and for related hiring purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy. Submitting an application does not create an employment relationship, and you are responsible for the accuracy of the information and credentials you provide.
11. Third-Party Websites & Services
The Site may link to third-party websites and services — for example, our social media profiles, insurance carriers, or public resources such as Cover Virginia. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices; your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, United Autism Therapy disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Site, including any warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, and any warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of Site content, which may change at any time. This section applies to the website only — it does not limit any obligation we owe to established clients under the consents, agreements, and laws that govern the clinical services we deliver.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, United Autism Therapy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Site. This limitation applies to the use of the website only. It does not apply to the clinical services we provide, and it does not limit any liability or rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless United Autism Therapy and its owners, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
15. Nondiscrimination
United Autism Therapy complies with applicable federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate, exclude, or treat people differently on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex. If you need language assistance or an accommodation, contact us at (703) 261-4446 — confirm available language-assistance services with the owner before publishing this sentence.
16. Accessibility
We want every family to be able to use this Site. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility guidelines and review the Site regularly. If you have difficulty using any part of the Site, or would like information in an alternative format, call (703) 261-4446 or email info@unitedautismtherapy.com and we will be glad to help.
17. Changes to the Site & These Terms
We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms take effect when posted, and the effective date at the top of this page will be revised whenever a material change is made. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
19. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and — for families in our care — the Notice of Privacy Practices and your service agreements and consents, make up the entire agreement regarding your use of the Site.
